    mako on the beach

    I caught a 4' mako on the beach thursday on bunker chunks,might be a good sign for the up comming tourney.This was my first mako ever caught,they are a handfull trying to release from the beach,he was returned back into the water safe.This was in ortley beach,ocean county n.j...I'm trying to post the pic from my camera phone.

    i'd really like to see that picture....thats a pretty rare catch for any beach yet alone new jersey.. ..i might not be body surfing this weekend after all.

    Just never know what you'll catch in the ocean. I've heard of makos being caught off the beach before , hey theres no gates in the ocean stopping them to go in certain areas. Heck we caught dolphin out of chincoteague last year a couple miles off the beach.
