How many times have you been trolling, got a beverage in your hand and rods start going off. Where do you put your drink?
On the gunnel, nope it will fall overboard. Put it on the cooler/bait tray/rocket launcher. nope it will end up spilling in the boat and nothing gets owners and captains a little heated quicker than soda all over the back of the boat.

So I was at the Annapolis show and crawling all over the new Contender and low and behold looky at what I found.

Rod holders, that double as cup holders. Rod goes off you got a quick spot to put your cold one. I like that ingenious touch.

AND IT STILL ACCEPTS A ROD BUTT? A ROD & CUP HOLDER


I TIP MY RIGGERS TO THIS ONE. SOMEONE ACTUALLY PUT THEIR THINKING CAP ON HERE.

I wouldn't hesitate to throw a few of those on the boat b/c I am constantly losing drinks when we get hooked up. There is never a cup holder close enough... Now there is!

Thats a real good idea so when your in a rush when the bite gets going there is cans and bottles in the way and just like every other cup holder someone is bound to put trash in it. I have standard rod holder and nothing ticks me off more than when people put trash in them or upside down water bottles.

Your better off going with the beer helmet much more efficiant, but I guess they would all fit well with the weekend warrior.

Jay, I couldn't agree more. The only thing is, in my wife's car when I go to put a drink in the cup holder, I always have move make-up or $10.00 worth of pennies.
