So its that time of year when Im looking over all my stuff and making plans for a more efficient 2012. I have a Mako Magnet that i've hardly used b/c most of my offshore time is trolling for tuna / marlin. But i did get to wondering about the difference between the mako version and the other 2 (tuna teaser, and Marlin Magnet) offered by the same company. While I understand the attempted differences... i wonder if they really are specie specific and how I could make use of a nice gift thats been sitting in my garage for years.

With that in mind I have a few of question for one and all. 1 does anyone have a tuna teaser or marlin mag? If you are within driving distance I'd like to bring mine to yours and lets plug them in side by side and see/ listen to just how much of a difference there is between them. 2. Can anyone say they used one of the others and didn't attract sharks?

Of course we all know the importance of boat harmonics on the troll. I have a pair of 4 stroke outbroads that are pretty quiet. Spreader bars and teasers can give the look of bait above but could I use one of these to create the sound of bait above? In short, has anyone glassed one into the hull for use in trolling?

I really never shark fish so Mr. Mako biting my glass isn't a big concern, of course if its on during a night chunk that could be different, but lets keep that aside for now.
