    Mackerel...deboning them?

    Do you prefer to debone a spanish with your rigs? What size deboning tool is the best?

    Thank you that is a good video. That is one of the rigs I was thinking about using. I was in the tackle shop the other day and bought a deboning tool but the guy talked me into a .625" deboner that looks to me like it is way to big for most spanish. The one in the video looks a good bit smaller.

    I use a 2312 hunting arrow with a old screw driver handle. Drill a hole all the way through the screwdriver handle and glue in the arrow. I use a smaller arrow that will go inside the 2312 to push out the spine....Works great for the size Spanish we have used. I normally stop de-boning about a two inches from the tail..Mark

    Thank you, you know I think I have a few of those arrows around here somewhere. I may go with that and save the $30 and return this thing.
