    Mackeral Bars

I am looking for the heavy duty Bars for trolling brined mackeral. I have called numerous places around the mid atlantic and there are none available. Any suggestions?

Our New York store should have them in stock. Give them a call at 631-288-0392.

I may have 3 or 4 older ones that I bought back in the 80's from Tuna Hunter himself Bob Pisano. They are in decent shape (only used a few times). Private message me if you are interested.

Deskperado, I would suggest 3/16" Titanium bar to handle the weight of the mackeral.
They are available from Tournament Cable in sizes up to 72"
Give us a call or PM me for pricing.

Those titanium bars are very nice and I have several for the squid rigs (and I'm sure they would work well for the Bait), but for Mack Bars I use standard 48" stainless bars with the welded eyes (in black).

www.tightlinestackle.com up in maine carries them. I'm pretty sure he carries the offshore Innovations bars as well.
