    MA500

Where do i start, it was a great week, first i need to thank Andy ( whitey) for hooking me up with Capt Jay Blount, what a first class act and great fisherman this guy is. Thank you andy.

First two days were lay days, so Weds we faced the music, man what a battle the first 40 miles, geez there was even some yakkin goin on, it was just not fun, got out to the Wilmington and it started to lay down , set the spread, and started to work. we had a mystery bite early in the morning, we had a small blue come in on the stalker teaser, but didn't see anything he liked. Then around lunch, Dirty white boy came up on the squidnation daisy chain, he would not be denied, Capt Jay fed a dink right down him and game on, Nauti dog took over , with a short fight, first release. quiet for most of the remaining day till about 230 , on dink rod goes down, then another one goes down, Young Bradley gets the first pole then alexa gets the second one, after some dancin, both longfins get the gaff, and we are headed for the barn.

Thursday, we started around the north baltimore. Slow morning then around 1030 the wolf pack came a callin we had four in the baits at once, two got hooked and spit, one got hooked and stayed stuck, nauti dog made short work of that white. slow the rest of the day till 230 , the dink goes off and game on , never saw the fish till it came boatside, it was a white and a long one, Alexa worked on the fish for a good 30 min, brought it to the boat, Capt Jay wired it up, we measured it, it was 70 1/2 inchs, made the decision to bring it to the scales. We hauled ass in, got to the scales, and she didn't make weight what a sick feeling that is, but in the end, my daughter got her first white. and the fish didn't go to waste.

Day3 back to the baltimore, had one come up and look early, no takers, then around 11, it came a callin, Jay did an excellent job sticking it, game on , Young Bradley on the rod. Well we had some errors there that left the fish get away. And thats how our MA ended.

All in all it was a great week, I learned a tremendous amount from Capt Jay It was great to be back in Cape May with Chuck and Mary, thanks for watching the pooch. It was great to see whitey and box. Walking up and down the docks, people like coop , pitchbait, and Kevin O, ( outstanding on that blue boy Kevin). Seeing Deep ,Digger, Fstop, the crew of the Intuition with the celebrity angler , Just released, Lucky Lady, Chuck Richardson ( tournament cable) Meeting Vixen, and of course our own admin and Capt Kobey. it was a great week filled with friendship, can't really ask for anything more, but the big check would have been nice.

Sounds like a great time... At 70+ inches you gotta take the chance. Oh well... That boat sure looks pretty out there, especially going backwards... Congrats to you and the crew of the Foolish Pleasure for yet another great showing!

Great report Tim. Sounds like you and your crew had a great time fishing together (again!).

Thanks for using the Audio Fishing Reports. It was pretty neat hearing you update us about your day while you were on the way in. We were pulling for you down here in MD Thursday when we heard about your white one.

Question - did you get to use the aluminum fish bat??

    Congrats on another good tournament.
