    A Lure man's Lure

After literally years of coveting one I was finally blessed to receive a Big Reidee lure the other day, and I was pleasantly humbled. Sometimes in life it is good to be reminded that there just might be someone out there better than you! These lures are hand made individually in Hawaii and are not sold in stores. Ron is a class act who is keeping the true art of making classic Hawaiian lures alive, even if it just with one at a time. Absolutely gorgeous work, I hope one day to have the courage to actually throw it into the water but right now I am not so sure.....

I have about 4 or 5 of Ron's lures...Excellent rigger lures...And they smoke like chimney stacks....They really are a piece of Art...And made by a passionate artist and super nice guy...I'm afraid of putting them in the water cause they look so damn beautiful.

Years ago Ron bestowed several on me, with my name on them, no less! I agree with everyone else about what classic beauties they are, but I just had to run one of my first ones. First fish hit it in mere minutes. It was a hawg FangBanger of a wahoo. I got the fish and the lure back. It and none of the others ever went into the water again!

One other thing. I most assuredly second any remarks concerning what a fine, classy gentleman Ron is...a wonderful lure maker and a real gent to boot.

Boys, boys, boys....i'm sure Ron doesn't put his heart and soul into these lures, as you say, to have them sitting in boxes and squirreled away in drawers. FISH THOSE MOFO's they are designed to CATCH FISH not dust!

They say that lures catch fishermen more than fish...in this case I can see why.
I reckon they would catch fish, but only if unpacked, rigged and wet though. Just rig them on wire and pray they come back to you.
They look like art though...with or without a hook If I was a fish i'd eat it
