Fished the first of 3 days with Capt. Dave and Mario on the Miss Behav'in today. It sounded like it was a slow day for most of the charter fleet. We ended up going 3 for 5 on sails - missing a double header and losing another to a broken leader after he put on a hell of a show.
The 3rd sail of the day was probably the best teaser bite I've ever seen. My brother spotted the fish on the surface 30 yards or so out of the spread, soon enough it broke for the spread and piled on the teaser. Mario cranked it up and Dave tried feeding him a ballyhoo. The fish stayed in the spread for a minute or so before Dave jammed about half the rod in the water to put the bait right in his face and finally we had him hooked up. He was easily in the neighborhood of 120-130 lbs.
Got a ton of pics. Here's one of the highlights. Surfing tomorrow, back on the boat Friday for more...
