    Los Suenos in March?

I am heading to Los Suenos for the first time in the middle of March. I have heard alot of good things about Costa Rica but I really don't know what to expect. Anyone been down there in March? Any info would appreciated.

The great fishing is lasting later and later each year. Last year April and May were fantastic.

Check us out at www.draginflycostarica.com or drop me an e mail if you have any specific questions at info@pamlicoguide.com

I would recommend booking a good boat well in advance of your arrival.

Costa Rica.....great people, great food, great fishing, and still some great places to surf alone. You'll have a great time in Los Suenos. A great variety of fish to choose from and go catch a surf at Playa Escondida (by boat). I spent 5 years making Playa Herradura as a home base when Los Suenos and the golf course was just gossip. Herradura, which is a just south of Los Suenos in the same "bay" had great fishing right outside the local reefs. Snapper by the schools...... big ones too. I don't know how many Snapper I got schooled on fishing a 30 International and half of a Needlfish as bait. As soon as we had a Needlefish on board, we would cut it in half drop it to the bottom along the ridges and it would just get destroyed! All this from a panga with a 55 gallon drum full of live mullet and no bait pump.Bait pump was an energetic Tico with a five gallon bucket in hand. I'm sure times have changed but all reports are still positive. Secure a boat as they can become scarce especially if there is a tournament going on. The people are extremely friendly and all smiles. You will have a great time and a new escape destination. I sure miss CR.
