Loop to loop braid to hollow core?
Any problems with a loop to loop conection using #40 power pro to premade hollow core looped leaders?

Bert, I do it with 50 braid pound to 20 pound mono all the time. Mostly with my Penn 975s. Never had a problem doing it but I do a double Bimini on the braid...

Hi Bert,
A loop to loop connection is just about the strongest connection that you can get. When using factory looped wind-ons just inspect them well. I normally make all my own. I have been making wind-ons and topshots for the bluefin tuna for the last 12 years and to my knowledge I have never had a failure, or at least no one has come back to complain! Capt. Joe Shute |
