Lonesharks first canyon trip

Bill Genteil his Dad, Mike and Scott made there first Canyon trip on the Loanshark on Saturday 10/09. The conditions could not have beeen better.

We left the dock about 5:00am and headed to the Lobster Claw, trolled for a while then headed to the Spencer ( should have gone to the Lindy). We had 2 runnoffs and boated 1 longfin. We can't complane as this was our first trip and we had meat. The conditions and weather were great, we ran back at 28 knots and didn't touch the controls till we got to the inlet.

The catch could have been better but then then some had none. The tuna fishing reports were great from Wed. on with the better action from the Lindy north both on the chunk and the daytime troll.

We are looking foward to the next trip.

The canyons seem to have turned on now so im excited to get back out there .
I personaly think its worth running right to the canyons instead of inshore of the canyons. If your gonna chunk some bluefin its worth the stop but for yellow and long fins seems that the canyons are hot right now .!
