A little scenery from Kona for those stuck in snow

Thought I would warm your heart with some photos from Kailua-Kona, HI.
Notice the horrible view I have to endure. On a day off, I sleep-in until about 8 am, cook breakfast & eat my bacon, eggs & biscuits on the balcony.
Here's a warm thought for ya....

And for you Florida Keys guys, banging out a days fishing, catching your own live ballyhoo everyday....sometimes wondering when/if they are going to show today & why they won't swim closer than 25 ft from the boat.....we have to go all the way to the boat slip to find live ballyhoo. They are stacked DEEP in the lights at night. I will try to get you a good picture of it soon. It is ILLEGAL to throw a cast net here with mesh smaller than 2", so IF you want to catch them legally, you have to hair-hook them.

But, when the weather is foul, it can be awfully foul. The rain can come down in sheets. & we can get "swelled out", not blown out. The surf can be so big, crashing across the entrance to the harbor, that it is not safe to leave the harbor. You can't fish. Even though there is no white water on the ocean! Has not happened yet this winter.
