LITTLE DEBBIE REPORT and JErsey Shore Classic

We had our first overnighter Tues into Wed. We managed a nice 59.2 lb BFT on the troll outside of Masseys on tues evening then headed for the deep.

We trolled around the tip of the Baltimore, we had great life 79.5 degree water so we held up short of the tip for the night. Through the night we had schools of flying fish, hundreds of squid, porposis, and dorado. We only manged a small gaffer dolphin and first light we headed back to Masseys area, but after 2 hours on the troll the charter wanted to head home.
Great group of guys from Maryland, their first experience overnighting and they will be back.

Friday and Saturday I had the Stan Crooks party along with Capt. Tim from the Shack. We fished the JErsey SHore Classic for Breast Cancer. We were in the 60,000 Marlin division but that venue was scratched due to not enough boats so we entered the Offshore division.

It wasa two tough days of fishing, but we were able to take our charter to the scales both days.

The first day we hung 2 Bft tuna in the 25 lb range, but never held up, and the second day we had a BFT and 3 dolphin at the scales.

At the Banquet we came to find out we fell short of the money by 7 oz. Oh well, the charter had a great time, they were a fanatastic group, and what a great tournament for an even better cause.

Sean Healy should be congratulated for putting on a First Class Tourney once again.

Thanks Sean

Thanks for the report Phill
Sounds like you had a good weekend and that is what matters.

We will be heading out this week for 2 over nighters if the weather holds ~

Have a great week.

John

Great Job Capt. Phil! Sorry it wasnt the ending you had hoped for but still sounded like a great time for ya. Con grats on what you did catch and I am sure the memories will be lasting the charter for quite some time.
