We had the Nick Grosso charter from Annapolis Maryland out for a overnighter yesterday. Capt Andy ran the boat, because I ran the boat the overnight before. They ran to the Baltimore and started to troll on the West side around 3pm.
The troll bite was pretty non existant and the weather was blowin a solid 25 most of the day. They dropped the hook around the tip of the Poormans just inside the edge, and began chunking. The wind never dropped out until really late in the night, and When the wind finally let up alittle the fish showed up.
They had a flurry from 4 am - 6am and ended up with 5 YFT in the box average size about 50# and picked a bunch of Mahi . They had 69-70 degrees. They got up on the troll in the morning and had a few tuna bites and one tuna on that busted off half way through the battle.
After the missed opportunity on the fish the charter wanted to get home, as they worked hard through the night and everyone was beat.
Another tough night down at the Poormans, but did end up with 5 YFT and a bunch of Dolphin. We got some good reports from some guys down south and The LFT have shown up and the trolling is picking up.
We are scheduled to go again Wed- Thurs, Sat- Sun, and Sun- Mon, Now I just hope the weather holds.
We still have some good dates for Monster Striper Fishing up in the bay.
Book now and I'll keep the heat on for you
Nice to hear they they put some meat in the box , I had heard it was tough going out there that night. How much longer will the Little Debbie run off shore ?
