chunked about 10 miles from the tip behind one of the big steel rigs,when we arrived we started of with butters because the guts were still frozen solid,saw some marks but no takers,finally guts thawed, 20 minutes after switching baits and chum to guts we had a fish on, fish would only hit VERY light leaders we used 40 and 30 flurohad several breakoffs,hard to tell size of fish due to light drags and light leaders,boated one nize bluefin about 60-70 pounds had a better fish right next to boat and broke the leader,lots of action, next time i will leave the butters in the freezer and thaw the guts out ahead of time,guts were exspensive but wortrh every penny spent

Nice report,
I wouldnt leave the butters back in the house, last time I checked I didnt see any tuna swiming around in my living room

, there will be as time when guts wont work and butters will.

when those boats get loaded with trafic,and im sure they will

,
You will need the butters to draw the fish from the boat ,or grid,when 10 boats suround a scallop boat it does nothing for the fishing except put them down,and send them looking elsewhere for an easy meal,That meal my friend,Just may be your butters..................Vinny
