    OUCH!!! THAT HURTS!!!
I guess to most, the tumblehome and flared bow make a "Carolina" boat a generic look but, the only thing our 32 shares with the Jarrett Bay 32 is the length (except maybe that they finish them across the street)! Ours is 9 inches wider, with a VERY different hull shape. The deadrise, shearline, layout and overall look are very different, INTENTIONALLY!!!
The Jarrett Bay 32 is indeed now being produced in a mold, like most other production boats. Ours is handcrafted, cold-molded, with extensive use of composites. The hull sides are Divinycell cored, as are the cabin and all fish boxes, the decks are Nida-Core, a high-tech honeycomb, all of which add up to a lighter, stronger boat (easier to push, less fuel to run and that "wooden" boat feel that everyone says raises fish better!).
You are right that mezzanine boat is a 65, the next one will be a 63, same layout.

    .

I would have to say you are way off on this.

The 2 boats are nothing alike and this was the best 32 foot walk with a cabin I have ever seen. This was complete custom and the features were right on track.
Some of these other boats seem to be good for one thing and not the other. This boat seemed to work for all styles of fishing.

Was very very impressed and from being on both boats it is nothing like the Jarrett Bay. Dont get me wrong the Jarrett Bay is also very nice.

My buddy Rawlings Barnes's dad Roy Barnes ownes Lightning Yachts. The make some of the if not THE Best boats out there. Their level of detail is way above other manufactures. Not to mention Roy's sportfishers are faster then any other manufacturers as well.

    Thanks for the tour John.

    Awesome stuff

I am sitting here reading all these great post's about Lightning yachts and the only thing I can tell you guy's is that I have been on allot of big boats in all typs of conditions and the 61 lightning rides the best. It is a dry boat with a cruise speed of 30 knots and only burns 60 gallons an hour. It is impressive!!!

I had the pleasure of fishing the WMO last year with Bill and his on Wes on the 61 (by the way it is now the MoJo) and he was able to teach us allot of things about the boat inside and out. Lightning yachts is a class operation that is extremely detail orienated in every aspect of the boat building business. Thanks again Bill for building a great boat. I may see a 64 in the very near future !!!

I remember being tied up behind I think a 61 in walkers cay for the Barta Blue Marlin Classic. We were there three years in a row and I think they had the boat there each time. This was at least 10 years ago and I remember admiring that boat and remember that is was fast and stable.
