Thing I like most about it? That it is mine. Also fairly good on diesel 36 GPH at 20 knots gets me out when I want to go. Has a wide beam for plenty of room . Has enough comforts the family will come out with me, meaning I get out more.
dislikes- could be heavier for the not so nice days
Probably won't make the best of section, but I still like posting the Pictures.
Some of you may have seen this on another site. I have a 40' Mirage coming any day now. Here are the reasons I bought this boat:
Stretched 37 Bertram hull(Dave Napier designed)
Napier had the opportunity to perfect it this time(and the 37 was pretty darn good as it was).
Deep V ride
Lighter than the original 37
Fast! Twin 610hp engines will get us 32 knots @ approx 45/46 gph(cruise speed)
Huge engine room, easy access.
Cockpit access to the engine room - a big bonus.
Giant electronics panel on hydraulic rams
Built using the highest quality materials
Almost $200K less than the nearest competitor and over $400K less than some competitors with more well known names.

Heres some before and after photos, of the work that was done. All work including the rocket launcher was done by me, did it all in the winter of 05/06. I love the boat , it came out exactly as I envisioned it when I first looked at it and thought the project was do-able
