LEGASEA report 9/11/11 with Whitey
Sunday turned out to be a gorgeous day on the water, but the fish didnt want to cooperate. We started inside the rockpile about 40 fathoms and stayed in that general area all day in an out of the fleet.
We had 5 actual bites and caught 2, but saw well over 10 fish. They just seemed to be very lazy yesterday and I think they were just feeding all night under full moon. I will say these were both stubborn fish and didnt jump too much and just wanted to stay deep. We spent way too much time fighting these fish, but didnt want to put too much heat on them with light leaders. Either way we had 2 releases and popped another white cherry on the legasea. That is the 7th person devirginated on the boat this year. Hoping to get to 10 before the end of the year for my set of steak knives
BTW, John Rogers is now known as the mahi monster with his fashionable new whatever the hell that goofy thing is called...hahaha
(for some reason im not able to load pics from the office) Ill post them soon

Nice talking with you John we did see a lot but other than what we thought was one on my planer rig with RDT dredge. They all were uninterested. I agree they probably fed all night in the bright light.
