    Legasea OCMD report 6/11

Its nice to have a report to post, even if it is a crappy one. A friend was getting married and all he wanted for the first portion of bachelor party was to catch a shark. The reports had been good from the Hambone so we headed there. Water was a little warmer than I would have liked for Mako at 72ish so we started out on the troll. Nothing for about an hour until we were covered up by bluefish. Set up for shark on NW side of the bone and had our first pull right after all the baits were set. Turns out it was a small (very small -50lb) mako on short bait and pulled the hook after a short fight. It was a long rest of the day with no action until about 4pm when we released a dusky. Slow day, but it was great to get back out there and my buddy ended up catching his first shark, so he was thrilled (and on the subject of fish flags from a previous post, he was happy as can be to run up the shark release flag coming through the inlet )Plan to get a lil deeper in a week or so.-Shark
