Started just inside of the dog after passing on the hambone because it looked like a walmart parking lot on saturday afternoon with a buy one get one free special on toilet paper. We quickly put a bull and cow pair of gaffers in the boat. They were followed up by a YFT (which is on the grill as I type). Lines back in and all of a sudden whitey is all lit up on the right teaser. He somehow bounced back and forth between both teaser chains for a few short min and paid no attention to the ballys that I smacked him on the head with, ohh well. Bite seemed to slow big time after 9-930ish and it seemed like boats were picking them off here and there.
Sounded like a decent billfish bite inside around the lumps today.
We ended up with a handful of gaffers, a YFT, and 0-1 on whites. A few skippies kept the guys n gals on board happy between bites with the tastey fish variety
Man, it looked like a nice day to get my wife out there, especially b/c she wants a nice dolphin so badly. Oh well, we took the day and knocked out almost all the work on the pontoon......looking forward to breaking it in during the WMO in between fishing trips.
Glad to hear that you got everything worked out with the pontoon. It was a great day with a nice lazy swell and some meat in the box. Going out again this weekend, maybe well see you out there.
