    Late PV Report

Fished with Manny a week ago with the new wife. Tied the knot in Newport Beach aboard the ICON on Sunday and were fishing on El Matador on Wednesday. We ran out and put out a set of Bart's the see what was inside of the rock for naught. Arrived at the Rock and bridled up the Skippies. First fish was a nice sail about 120lbs. Nic rocked it pretty fast. Second fish came about an hour later and was a Dorado, dinner. We walked the baits around a while for a couple of short wahoo bites and by the afternoon it was on! I hooked up first and my fished taped at 154lbs. Nicole caught her's shortly there after and it taped out at 160lbs. Great way to finish the day. Manny runs a great operation and his new boat is top notch. The AC in the salon makes for a very comfortable nap on the way home. I can't say enough about how hard Manny worked for the fish and the great attitude the whole crew shares.

Day two fished on a 32 Luhrs express called the Snapper. Manny was booked so he set us up with a friend. Again ran straight to the Rock and made bait. Picked off a 30lb Dorado and about an hour later had a Black in 350-400lb range come up wrapped in the leader. He put on a good show for a few minutes untill the leader came off. Not a half hour later a much bigger Black maybe 500-700lbs. came up hooked in the mouth. Nicole fought him for about an hour before he chewed through the "light" 200lb fouro leader. The tide went slack and the bite stopped. We put out a spread of Bart's best work including our wedding gifts from him and set out for greener pastures. After an hour we saw a nice bird school in the distance and made a run for it. Nice school, spinner dolphins and green water. I dropped in a live Cabbalito (Goggle Eye) connected to 200lb. flouro and it was on. I had a fish that taped 165lbs at the boat in short order. For the next two and a half hours we had 6 fish to the boat between 85-165lbs. The crew stayed out two extra hours to keep on the fish. It was a fantastic trip.

Manny and I have fished together down there since my first day in PV over 10 years ago, he's one of the best anywhere - you just can't teach the kind of passion he and his boys have for the game.

Congrats on the wedding, and the fishing!!!

And good luck on your trip Aaron, see you down there!

Thanks Josh. Next time I think we will stay closer to Punta de Mita. The water in the bay is a little green and during the rain it was straight Nestle Quick. No swimming.

Thanks johnnywalker. What do you think of our unplanned Melton's attire. The mate and I both showed up wearing the same blue Pelagic shorts and Melton T-shirts. We took **** all day form Manny.

Gotta love that, almost like two girls calling each other in the AM and checking what to wear together
