    Last minute trip, where?

I have the rest of the week free and looking for someplace to take my wife and 1 yr. old son for 4 days. No more than a 6 hr. drive or 3 hr. flight from Phila. A day of fishing for myself would also be a plus.

    Thanks,
    Chad

Rudee Inlet has had a terrific rockfish bite the last 2 weeks and Oregon Inlet the BFT and black fin tuna started biting. Nags Head has a couple of outlet malls for the misses.

Outer banks or florida seem like your best fishing options.

Like Russell said, the stripers are biting in virginia, and seabass/tiles are biting offshore.

Anywhere in Florida is a 3 hour flight from Philly. I have made a few last minute trips to Miami and the keys are a short drive from there. A four day trip to the keys wouldn't cost that much either. Feel free to pm me, I have made the trip enough and would be glad help in any way I can. You will have to seek assistance from other SFC members for fishing tips though, I am not that knowledgeable in that area.

From my experience, the most important thing to do in this situation is to DO SOMETHING. Don't waste two days trying to decide what to do. Book the trip, take the family, have fun, and catch some fish.

    Best of luck.

Cape canaveral florida is having a great cobia bite right now. Isla Mujers is thick with sails, our area in southern costa rica is hot at the moment but is 6 hrs in plane. Keys had some good sail fishing not sure if is still on. Good wahoo in the bahamas right now!

How about a 5 hour flight and a 1 hour flight

Check out www.losbuzos.net. this resort was built for fishermen with familes and the projection for the rest of the week is slick calm.
