    Last Call, OC Tuna Tourney

Well, my tourney is done, and was pretty uneventful.

Again had a great charter in Snowranger and his friends and Dad.

Day 1 fished near the Bone and Massey's, caught several BFT's all under 47, and pulled off what seemed to be a larger fish. Weighed a 54. Bites were on Hoos with either bogwitches or islanders.

Day 2, knew we were not in the hunt for total pounds, so we were looking/hoping for a big BFT. Fished east of the bone and had several YFT bites, killed one, I screwed one up at the gaff, and pulled off the rest. Got in with the fleet and never had a BFT bite. Bites wre hoos and bogwitches... the islanders let me down.

Snowranger (Eric) and his crew were a pleasure to fish with as always, and they kept their spirits high the whole time. There was never any negativity or pouting or any of that BS. We were where we needed to be, just could not get the job done. (Don't worry Eric I won't mention about the bananas on Day 1... oops Or that you tried to sneakily throw them over without anyone seeing them... ooops again )

So now I am rooting for many of my friends who are dominating the leader board at the moment. Hell, Lance from the Longfin, and of course Joey from the Hard Head are holding 2 and 3 in the pounds (speaking of which weren't both of you on my boat on Thursday... what did you guys do steal my good luck charms? Way to go guys, I hope they hold for you). And WOW, Dave and Josh on the Instigator with 700 plus pounds, I mean WOW. What can I say about Capt Luke on the Press Time (and Jason his mate, who kicks much ass) they had a scare from the Let it Ride, but they are holding on with a 184. And Mack on the Let it Ride, and his junior angler Charlie, way to be guys. And I do believe the Cyntinory (Capt Rick Carney, Justin, and Val Lynch- all on this board) is in there somewhere too. Hope it all holds for you boys.

Thanks to the OCTT committee (Jenn, Rolfe, Ron, Jack, Bob, Brian, Dale and the rest of the staff) for putting on a hell of a show, and thanks to John, Larry, Dave, and the rest of the various media that are covering the event. This is truly becoming one of the biggest and best events anywhere, and it was a pleasure to fish it.

A well written piece. I enjoyed the prose and sentiments.
