I know alot of you know already, but I got lucky on my first day out today.
Fishing offshore of the knuckle (not quite sure exactly where) water was 63 degrees and clean. Got bit on the planer with the pink flasher. Tough fish, took a while to catch. I measured him in the boat at 106- Jason at Homer's measured him at 104. Big fish, but skinny only cored at 475- I was hoping for something in the 5's, but hey I am not complaining.
Thanks to everybody that called with congrats, and extra special thanks to Rob from the Endeavor (fishing on the Uncle T down here) for coming over and helping pull the fish through the door, Dad and I wee not gonna get it our selves. I will try to post a pic when I get home this weekend- Stevie took some good ones while we were pulling it through the door.
Congrats to everybody that caught them today- not many fish caught, but they seemed to be good ones.
Way to go on a complete stud! Sounds like the fish down there are bigger then the usual reports I have read about fishing down there. Hopefully they all will be that big for you guys this season. Good luck the rest of the way.
