    Last Call 8/19 report

Fished the 150 to 100 line today covering between 50 and 100 fathoms.

Had 2 tuna bites in 50 to 60 fathoms, pink and black witch with hoo, pulled hooks.

Catch 1 white on the edge, naked dink on the flat, Catch 2nd white in 55 fathoms naked dink on the flat. Both whites came to a pearl squid chain with pink/purple sea star with horse chase bait.

Saw lots of bait, and really expected more bites than we had, but as a whole, things sounded kind of slow. Weather permitting we will be out there somewhere tomorrow.

Nice work Franky. I miss Whitey! Using any circle hooks? Hey have you seen Capt. Tom Tucker around?? Tell that bum to give me a call or email. Good luck with the whites! Hope to see you back in Costa this season!

No doubt you will see me. I am putting together a trip with another couple, so we will be checking out your new rig.

I have yet to embrace the circle (another reason i have to get down there agian this winter, I think I can write it off as on-the-job training )

BTW, a friend of mine who is looking for some info on spending a season down there is going to email you via this board- a good man who is looking for a change of venue this winter, I know its tough to find a gig, but he is putting the feelers out.

I see Tucker damn near every day, and I will mention for him to get up with you as well.

Watch out for those Tsunamis!!! I'll be in touch.

    That's a good question?
Sounds like you had a better day than most ppl. The conditions were perfect yesterday. We had a weed line, whales, birds. dolphins and were skunked. Made for a long day. If we had a gun on the boat I would have ended the misery!

    Sounds good Phil. Tasty Eats!!

Al, thats why I hide the sharp knives in my cockpit. Some days do that to you.

I remember years ago hearing Capt John from the MR Ducks (I forget what boat he was on at the time) saying on the radio," Man do we have action! We've got birds, we've got whales, we've got bait. Action." Someone asked him what he had caught. He replied" Ain't caught shit, but we've got action." Goes that way sometimes.
