Last Call 2 days down WMO report

Well here is my report, not much to say, unfortunately.

Fished between 50 and 100 fathoms from the 050 to the 900 for the past 2 days. Released 1 white on Monday, raised another that didn't eat, and pulled off a tuna on the 130 that was capable of pulling off 35 pounds of drag and fighting for 15 to 20 minutes... maybe a nice one, who knows.

Day 2 same place, no bites.

Congrats to all the people on the leader board so far, and good luck and be safe.

    Good Luck on Day 3!!!

Have you heard from others as to whether they are seeing alot of fish or just spotty reports? I know that they won't give too much info, but just wondering if the bite is going on, or if it is still to come. Just curious!!

Thanks for the good wishes guys. My networking tells me it is a feast or famine. There are some boats getting bites, and other very good crews can be right next to them and not see a fish. The higher release numbers seem to be coming from just near the boundary in a couple of different directions.
My boat does not have the speed to fish 90 plus miles away, so I have to do my thing closer to home.

Good luck everybody. Laying Wed, looking to finish up on Thursday.

Good luck Thursday. It seems more and more crews are making 90 mile runs to fish N and S. Speed & range certainly limit a lot of the field. I'd love to see a long-time local win it.

Franky, good luck to you on your final day....I truly hope you hang a slob. Wish I was out there next to you but as you know...my broken shaft didn't allow it this year. I knew some guys were running WAY south...didn't realize there were boats running just as far north...wow. I fished the Wachapreague Billfish Tourney a couple of weekend ago and was down below the 400...beautiful water and we saw and caught some fish. Looong way to go out of OC unless your 30+ knots!!

Go get 'em on your last day!
