    large Bluefin OC, MD

I buddy mine said he saw some large bluefins right off the beach in Ocean City. Good size fish around 8 to 10 miles off. If it is true, isn't strange that they would be that close this time of year? Do you think they are moving through or would they be hanging out in this area feeding? Just curious...

    BFT,

Truthfully, I think they go where they want to go. I had a school pop up about 12 miles off Oregon Inlet on me 2 year's ago. I knew what I was looking at, but still didn't believe it. I circled back and got a huge mark on the scope. By the time I got my act together, they did what tuna do. Sounded and hit the gap!!!! Never saw them again, what an idiot!!!! We had a fella catch a 175lb class fish right off the beach (35 foot of water) this last winter off Avon, NC. Caught it on a spinning rod and a strech 30, fishing for rock. Yep, I think they go where they want to sometimes. Frank

It might be that there are hugh schools of bunker right off the beach. Went to the old grounds last week and must of saw 20 large schools.

I was just out there today. I needed a baseball bat to keep them from jumping into the boat. One of them actually came out of the water and kissed me right on the lips. (I think he slipped me the tongue.)
