Lahaina Harbor, Maui***Update from Wednesday 7-23-08***

***Sorry for the delay folks, posted this in the wrong forum.***

    Aloha Folks,

Ono Noah here reporting on the catch from Start Me Up Sportfishing, Lahaina Harbor, for Wednesday July 23, 2008... and as always -- what I see, you see, guarantee.

Well, the beastly bill-fish bite has been banging as of late. This 300.1 pound marlin reported by Captain Rhino from Start Me Up Sportfishing marked the 4th billfish over 300 pounds in the last 4 days. That's one bill-fish a day folks -- Four Marlin, Four Days, 1200+ Pounds of Blue Striper -- Stop Wishin' and Go Fishin'!!!

Captain 'Texas' Tim and Deckhand 'French' Jon were in for another treat as they located a school of Mahi Mahi 4 miles off of Lana'i point. They hooked up three monster mahi mahi and landed two, not a bad day for the boys.

From left to right: 'French', 35 lb. Mahi, 32 lb. Mahi, 'Texas'

One of Start Me Up Sportfishing boat in the background, clean, comfortable, tournament equipped and fish-ready. Do you wanna get hooked up? 'French' getting hooked up in Lahaina, Maui.

Start Me Up Sportfishing has convinced 'Texas' that not everything is bigger in the Lone Star state. 'Texas' posing with two monsters.

Yours truly folks -- Ono Noah -- true to my word. These two Mahi Mahi were both sent to the taxidermist for trophy worthy prized replicas of Hawaii's fiercest game fish... Do you wanna mount your catch?

Another wonderful day of fishing, and another beautiful day in paradise here in Maui, Hawaii.

Get hooked up with me folks.

    -Ono Noah

Nice report and real nice fish the Ono Noah.

Any chance of giving me an ide on what lures you were running for the Blue. Or were you running skip baits /Livies ?

I honestly thought this thread was a joke at first. It's unfortunate you're killing your marlin. Over the long haul, you'll have much more repeat business by releasing your billfish.

    Aloha NZ,

Most of our billfish (Marlins) are snagged on purple softies, but sometimes we get lucky on other lures, captain's choice.
