    Thumbs up Labor Day Mahi

I had Joe Jamison, Mike Tracy, Jason S, Tyler & Jerry String on board the Mucho Clams on Monday Sept 6th. We dropped in at the Wilmington at 5:30 am. The water was 75 degrees. for about 2 hours with only a few Skip Jacks to show. We crossed over to the West side and started South in about 70 Fathoms. There were a few schools of Dolphin and lots of bait. We managed a few small (16") YFT. We continued until we hit the Veries Canyon. The water was crystal Blue and 77.2 degrees. We managed 2 Mahi in a few weed lines that we found. No tuna around
On the way home we were called into the "Mother Load" of Mahi on a poly ball from Matt Dever on the "New Moon". We pulled up on the ball and we started to throw chunks at the ball. The Mahi were stacked up. We broke out the light tackle and nailed 25 Mahi which saved the day
