We have had the pleasure of fishing Kona many times. Early spring will give you a good shot at striped marlin, blue marlin, mahi mahi and tuna. The fishing is outstanding year round, a very short ride to the fishing grounds, good weather/seas almost all of the time and there is a large variety of charters to choose from at Honokohau Harbor. We have fished on and can personally reccomend the Nothern Lights (restored Merit) and Sea Dancer 31' Bertram. There are many websites for fishing Kona, do a search and have fun. Aloha..
