I doubt it... Lets see what others say. For me with the described mainline / leader, i would have a crimped leader with a guard in the loop attached via a clip.

You would definately have to rig up a dacron loop wind on to make that work. Only way I can think of.

I did'nt think so. Just making sure I did'nt miss anything. I'm about to tie a few dozen shark rigs and did'nt wanna regret not trying something better.
