This is one of my favorite knots that every fisherman should know how to tie in no more than 10 seconds. called a blood knot but watch how I start it with and overhand joining the two tag ends and roll it in my hands. It makes it a super fast way to join two lines in a hurry. say for instance you have a fish in the wheel. gaff the end connected to the fish and roll into it 3 times, cut the line, and tie the blood leaving the tag ends without snipping. now you have a good connection and are back to turning the handle instead of cussing the guy driving or whatever.

took forever to upload to youtube, hope it helps! The most important part is the start, it must be tight. It takes some practice but is well worth it once your fingers get trained.

try it afew times and then I'll do my best to walk you through the issues you will most certainly have. It took a full ten day trip to learn from Cpt. Gene.
