Watamu Kenya - There has been some larger fish lately for a fishery that does not see a lot of size. Hemingway's is reporting a 700 lber released and they lost a fish they say that could have come close to 1,000.

Unusual for Kenya...understand it's known for its variety, not its size. Not sure I've heard of many granders off the Kenyan coast.

There have been a couple over the years but they are definately in the minority, I think it might have a large part to do with the way the fishing is done on the whole with the gear aimed at the majority of fish rather than planning for the one off!
