Offshore Hatteras that is.
It was a billfish extravaganza!
I guess it was Climatologically also.
Anyway, unreal billfishin off Hatteras this past month should continue, I hope.
I heard a couple of the old timers say they can never remember billfishing like this year and last year off Hatteras.
This year we had the best single day of billfishing ever in the Hatteras fleet-- 7/12 over 65 bills caught and remeber our fleet is pretty small about 35 boats!
We have done pretty good on the bite me this month too.....
5 Blue Marlin, 22 White Marlin, 9 Sailfish, including a Grand Slam on the 21st.
Our slam was one of three that day and I think there has been 4 in the Hatteras fleet, several more out of the Oregon Inlet boys, who have been runnin down here to catch the marlins.
Most days you would think you were in costa rica or something!
I hope it continues.
We have some open days in August, so if you want to try your luck at the bills, give me a shout.
Here is today's catch - 2 white marlins and 2 Sails (raised 11-8 bites).
