    JERRY BROWN OR POWER PRO?

I am filling up 8 reels and i am wondering what you think would be best..

i know that the jerry brown is my preference but need them done ASAP and can not find anyone to fill them by thursday with jerry brown..

Think power pro is ok or wait it out and slap mono on there and wait for someone to do the jerry brown?

I have been using JB HC for the past 5years. I prefer it over power pro. The powerpro seems to be a much more course weave and the JB HC is a finer weave. Makes a big difference when you are working the line all day. I also like the way JB HC splices....Mark

    Vinnie,

Basil can do them for you most likely. Do not quote me on that but he's good.

Call him, he's in NJ. You take the ride and he'll most likely be able to do them while you wait.

And yes, JB over Spectra. Much easier to work with JB hollow. Only reel i have with spectra is my deep drop electric since it's just a simple knot to the rig.

Is there an advantage of a reel spooled entirely with hollow spectra vs a reel spooled with solid spectra?

That makes for a killer high speed and deep dropping set up. But for most angling you would want a little mono on top for abrasion resistance and shock absorbtion.

Go with the JB hollow. If you can make it up here will do the job by Thursday.
