    Jerry Brown ???

Need some help, on the last trip I went on out of cape may on the Hooked Up 2 with the canyon runner crew they used all jerry brown spectra I am thinking on switching my reels over to it. Is there a place that I could send my reels that would do this? I have TLD 50s and going to buy some tiagra 16 for jigging that I would like to put it on. Also bhp sells top shots that I am thinking on using with the loop to loop connection is this a good connection or should it be spiced. I have no idea how to spice but I could do the loop to loop. I was very impressed using braid and would like to switch most of my offshore gear to it. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I would go with the loop to loop connection over the splice, that way you can switch out the top shot easier. We spool Jerry Brown, as does BHP. We also handle the Penn 16's if you would like a price just email, pm or call us.

Hey John ... glad to see you looking into the hollow core spectra. I have been using it for 5 years now and would never go back to fishing straight mono. I have always used Basil over at BHP to make my topshots and spool my reels and have been very happy with his knowledge of the product and the service I have gotten .. in a pinch I sometimes splice the mono directly into the hollow braid myself, but the loop to loop connection is definately the easiest method of making the connection

Basil at BHP is the person to talk to, he's done all of our topshots and wind-ons for the past 2 seasons. He'll customize whatever you want as fas as lengths, and for us, since we're sponsored by Yozuri, he makes all our fluoro shots in Disappearing Pink. And since he's a JB dealer he can provide all the spectra too. Good dude, give him a call. Shop: 201-767-9028 , www.bhptackle.com

Been taking Basil's work to the canyon's on Seaker for several seasons now and have never had a failure. The ability to replace a top shot at sea in five minutes is awesome.

LFA, give me a call or check my site for the information. I stock all sizes and colors for Jerry Brown Line One hollow spectra. Thanks for all the props guys...BTW, someone caught a 329 YFT two days ago in PV on one of my wind-ons; he was on the fish for 4 hours. Pics to follow.

Spectra is the heat, and JB in my opinion is one of the best out there. The only question I would have for the crowd if I was in your shoes is a question about spooling a graphite reel like a TLD with spectra. I seem to remember some reports of the graphite reels cracking when spooled with spectra (for big game purposes), and that metal is a must. Not sure if this is still the case, but it may be a good question to ask.
