Nice tilefish. Is the record for the# test line you were fishing with? We caught some nice size tiles off NC last year when a slow tuna day set in and started bottom fishing.

Not sure but they looked like the one in your pic. We've caught them a couple times and I was surprised at the size of the first ones. Much bigger than I thought. How much did the one you are holding weigh in at?
The one that Jim Murray is holding is 15 lbs and it beat the old World record by almost 5 lbs. You'll have to make sure the species of Tile that your catching down there. Check into it and let me know.Originally Posted by jgray
