Excellent point about extra lead... When I make up the rigs (12 per position per week) about half that is rigged with lead. Except for our bird line all of are pre rigged with lead. As we use lures over our naturals in the other three positions we only weight them up on real windy days. The 24 each of the small leads are back ups... We salvage lead and hooks from what rigs we can as we go along.
If we were dragging say a north style spread with naked dinks we'd have to up that total by loads... Its possible we may do one day of dink dragging but not sure. We are bringing a set of six pound if we find whites in number. Boss wants a white on 6. All the rigs I made for them are 1/4 oz with 4/0 and 5/0 hooks.
