    Island of Women???

    Any reports?????

Thought this might catch the eyes of most of you guys out there?? But any recent reports for Isla Mujeres (translation Island of Women)? We're leaving a week from today for some billfishing w/Jim and Sandy from the Covert Mission aboard the Contango w/Capt. Keith.

Sorry to tease you guys !

Mary, if you want, I can call Lee on a daily basis and ask him for day to day reports, Heck, since he has been down there since December, he does have a good feel as to what is going on abd he is fishing everyday!!

I know it blew down there in the past few days, he did fish yesterday, the crew deep dropped, gave trolling a break. bottom fishing down there is off the wall!!

Visit the south end of the island. That is all I need to say, visit the SOUTH END of the island and walk to the point!!!!!

Looking for recommendations for a place to stay down there. Will be heading down on 2/1 for 4 nights just the wife and I. Since it will be just the two of us, are there opportunities for makeup charters or less expensive boats? Thanks for the help!

LeRoy, thanks for the info. I'm sure we'll run into Lee while we're there, so I'll give him a hug from you and Ginny when we do. As for the South End, I'll ask Sandy and Jimmy about that, I know they and Keith already have a plan for us. I cannot wait!!!

MissSara, we're actually staying on the boat, but I do know our friends recommended the Villa LaBella (http://www.villalabella.com/home.asp). They've stayed there before and they said the couple that runs it are awesome. I know we'll all be @ Jacks for the SuperBowl on Sunday night so maybe we'll meet you there.
