Islamorada Guides?

Anyone have a good one? Fished out of Key west last year, didn't get a recommendation, just walked the docks and talked to the mates and picked a boat, was not impressed at all.

For islamorada probably do inshore or offshore doesn't really matter to me; if anyone knows somebody that is kite fishing down there I definitely want to try that to pick up some tips to use outta NC.

anything from swordfish to backwater fishing.. they even caught a sawfish not long ago.. keep in mind weather so keep the backwater to bluewater option open since the wind has not laid down anything less than small buildings and trees this year..

I can Vouch for Capt. Johny Oughton, He runs J&A Charters. They Have www.prettyworkcharters.com, www.thatsrightcharters.com, They have back country boats, They can do it all. I just Reef fished with him about 2 weeks ago. The reports are here.

Was down about a month ago - we typically go every year - for sailfishing - can't go wrong with Scott Stanzyk or George McElveen (http://www.thereelmccoycharters.com) we have had great experiences with both - George's boat is much cleaner and better maintained. Nick Stanzyk is into the daytime swordfishing - but his boat (B&M) doesn't have much of a tower - and since they were doing a lot of sight fishing for sailfish - the height of the tower is pretty important. Pretty work looks to be well maintained, and the captain that runs it -Clyde - is quite a caracter -never went offshore with him - only back water. All of these boats are docked at Bun N Mary's.
