    Isla Mujeres - Contango

Back from Isla, fished Sunday and Monday with my family and John Raimundo jumped on for fun. Capt. Ruben Pena ran the boat for me, what a great guy and good fisherman. Very nice weather, mid 80's and sunny, flat calm with light E wind.

Fishing tailed off a bit, but we had a great time. I imagine the NE coming later this week may turn it on again. Lots of free jumpers, cutters, balling bait, a remarkable place to fish, in close this week, only 8 miles off the beach. I ran the boat home, had sails free jumping just in front of the boat about 3 miles off the beach on the way in. Pretty wild place. Heading back home soon, had good fishing with friends for our 3 week stay.

    Some pics, enjoy !!!

Awesome report & pics Walt! Isla is an amazing place to fish and fishing on your boat was a definite bonus.

Great to hear you also got to enjoy your boat and the fishing there!
