My buddy Justin on the Swordfish has a house for rent. You can maybe get the boat and house. May be booked. I can get you his number.
I went there last February and will be there again. We stayed at Playa Del Media Luna. It was pretty nice. It was close to downtown and the boat we chartered was at Enriques Marina which was a short walk from the hotel. Also, the famous swing bar was a 5 minute walk. The enclosed link will give you a pretty good idea of the places to stay. Rolandi's is the nicest, but it is a hike to get anywhere from there.

There is also a very nice marina near Rolandi's. That is where a lot of the big, fast boats stay. Triple Crown, Galati, The Hunter, etc. all were out of the nice marina. You may be able to rent a villa at that resort. I am drawing a blank on the name of it. I am planning on staying at Nautibeach this time. Mainly because they are 2 bedroom condos. You can also ask the people on www.myislamujeres.com . They are a fantastic source of information. They will tell you which restaurants to go to and which ones to avoid. PM me with any questions.
