IRELAND BLUEFIN?

HI:
Tried a three day trip out of Ireland last summer. A boat owner said lets give it a try. We towed a combo of HORSE Macks and some lures. No, I didn't bring any spreader bars,DARN IT!. In three days, we got one boil(never saw what did that). Frustrating. I put a rigged Mack on one rigger,long and a short.A GM type and a Jet on the other rigger. All had a three and five TEASER setup out in front of each lure. They went back in the 4-5th wake waves at 4knots. On the inside we had a rigged Mack and a daisy chain of plastic squids. The boil came on the inside rigger(read 10 inch GM type).
I hope to get back out ther agin next year around May/June. Anyone fish there? Any ideas ? What month seems to be the best? The local were VERY tight lipped.MMMMMMMMMMMM.

Thanks, are they regularly seen that neck of the woods? I've visited a couple times further north in Donegal and a couple friends have fished there as well. The fishery was never easy and seems to have become even tougher over time which is a great shame. There are some very fine people up there.

Yeah, tough fishing.
I hope to get back out there in 2010. He runs a 35 footer.He uses it for dragging . Maybe we can get up where you fished. Next time, I'll do a lot of chumming, that is if the sharks leave us alone.
It looks as if the BFT fishing is getting tougher each year, even in the Med. where they used to net them a lot off Italian shores.
It looks like the EU fishing commission is being subsidized
by the commercial guys, WORSE THEN HERE IN THE STATES. I can't prove that, but it's just a feeling I have from what I've seen going on.
Intersting thought............ Have you done any Tuna fishing out of Samoa? I hear they have a few big TUNA boats working out of that place. I'm going to try and get a trip out around there in the next year or two.
