We were blessed again on Saturday with another great piece of water that slid into the Lindenkohl and Spencer canyon areas within range of our inlet here in South Jersey. After a nice ride out we put the spread out in 50 fathoms South of the Spencer and worked a following sea troll NE toward the break. 10 minutes into the troll we had a short rigger bite that didn't come tight and then once we got to the tip of the Spencer all hell broke loose. The first bite was a true cover up with all 9 rods we had out coming tight. On that particular bite I actually seen 4-5 fish attacking the Sterling Tackle green squid and rainbow machine spreader bars. We were able to hang on to 6 of the first 9 fish and got back up on the troll getting another single bite after that on a Sterling green squid chain on the shot gun. The crew agreed that 7 fish was enough and we went into release mode ending the day 13 for 16 on nice size yfts. I think we probably had 20 bites total and held onto 16 of them but lost 3 due to pulled hooks. We spent most of the day working from 380-620 feet of water on the cold 66-67 degree side of the break. Absolutely insane action out there right now guys GET OUT THERE WHILE THEY ARE HERE!!!!
