Insane topwater bluefin...insane footage

Thanks for the information Captain Dom. I only get about 2 or 3 offshore trips in a year (off NJ). The Saragosa will probably be fine for me.

When is the best time to come up and get in on this topwater bluefin fishing? When do they fish first show up? When do the last one's go? Which locations are you fishing (how far from port)? I've always wanted to catch a tuna on a surface plug.

October and November will be nothing short of epic. Most years best time is Oct. and Nov., but it is also real good in June(they show early in the month) and early July most years. Fish are usually here through Thanksgiving and beyond. Most fisherman quit long before the fish do.....

I fish anywhere from 8-60 miles from the dock, but often times am no further than 2-3 miles from land.

This years run is the best in many many years, if you have the chance get up here this fall.
