Input on new & improved Peanut requested

This lure used to be called the Bullet Bait but since it is the smallest lure that we produce, we decided to re-name it The Peanut (also because of the old saying "elephants eat peanuts"-Thank you Box and Capt. Shane). The old weight was 1-3/8 oz. and the new weight is almost 2 oz. Originally, this lure was constructed of machined brass but with the rising cost of metals, we had switch over to lead. It will still be chrome plated and will feature our baked on powder paint finishes. With the rotocasting method that is being used to cast these heads, the finish is going to be extremely clean. In fact, the heads in the picture haven't even been plated. We just applied the powder paint right over top of the rough cast prototypes. Compared to the original version, the nose is much more concaved than the original version and the tail piece of the lure head has a chamfered recess in back to allow for better seating on the nose of a ballyhoo. I expect to have these available for sale by late December/ early January. Even with the changes and improvements, we will still be able to produce these without having a price increase.

Before we give the nod on the final prototypes, is there anything that we have forgotten? Is the concave feature large enough?

Looks good to me. I find that too many of these style lures do not have enough of a hole for the nose of the hoo. Sounds like yours does. Also, for what it is worth, I did well this year with the same lure in 6oz and 12oz versions. Hope to find one of yours under my tree this year!@!
