    • Registration is $500 per boat. Before July 1st is $450.

    • For this tournament boats will be fishing two out of the three days.

    • There is a guaranteed payout of 75% of entry monies for the heaviest fish in the following categories: 30% white marlin, 30% blue marlin, 20% tuna, 10% dolphin, 10% wahoo. Trophies/plaques will be awarded for the heaviest white marlin, blue marlin, tuna, dolphin, and wahoo.

    • Captain’s meeting will be held on July 26th, 2007 at the Indian River Marina tent from 6:00 PM through 8:00PM. You, or a representative from your boat, MUST attend the meeting to obtain your packet & picnic tickets. Rules will be read and questions answered. No entries will be accepted after 8:00 PM on Thursday July 26th, 2007.

    • Each boat must have on board the tournament packet they received at the Captain’s meeting. The packet will contain a copy of the rules (this brochure) and an assigned boat number. The assigned numbers must be displayed & visible on the boat at all times during the tournament. Boats without a tournament packet will be disqualified.

    • In the event of a breakdown, you may use an alternate boat after getting permission from a tournament Director or Board Member. Your assigned number must be displayed on the alternate boat.

    • Requirements for qualifying billfish are 70 lbs & 70” minimum for a white marlin and 550 lbs & 110” minimum for a blue marlin. To estimate the weight, use girth times girth times length divided by 800.

    • Boats may leave any port or ramp they wish, but not earlier than 5:00AM. No lines, teasers, chum chunks, etc in the water until 8:30AM. Fishing limited to 85 nautical miles form Indian River Sea Buoy (Green Can). All lines, etc out of the water by 3:30PM and boats must be back in North Shore Marina by 7:30PM – NO exceptions. An observer will be posted at the mouth of the marina to verify boats arrival.

    • If hook-up occurred prior to 3:30PM and you are still fighting the fish, it must be called in to a committee boat. You will be permitted to continue to fight the fish past 3:30PM. In order to be eligible for prize money with this fish, it must be available for weighing before the 7:00PM deadline on Sunday regardless of which day the fish was hooked up. For fish that were reported as hooked up prior to 3:30PM and were not weighed in by 7:30PM, they will have to wait for the scales to reopen the next day at 4:00PM.

    • All fish boated with the intention of being weighed for prize money must be reported to a committee boat with the following information: time, species, length, girth and estimated weight. If a committee boat cannot be raised, then the report must be given to another registered tournament boat to verify the information. This same information should be included on the catch report and turned in to a tournament director at the time of weighing.

    • All tackle IGFA rules apply unless otherwise noted. All fish must be caught by rod and reel only. Fish caught otherwise will be disqualified. Fish must be brought to the North Side Fish Cleaning Station by boat for weigh in – NO exceptions. Protest committee will consist of tournament Directors & weigh master. Their decision is final.

    • After arrival to the marina, boats should proceed to the North Side Fish Cleaning Station to have their fish weighed. If the bulkhead area is crowded, a tournament director and/or weigh master will authorize you to drop off your fish with a representative from your boat. The representative must remain with the fish at all times until the fish has been weighed. The tournament director and/or the weigh master have the authority to direct boats to expedite the unloading of fish.

    • Weigh-ins are between 4:00 & 8:00 PM. No fish may be weighed prior to that time.

    • All boats must weigh their fish at the North Side Fish Cleaning Station. Fish must come off a registered boat.. Please have your fish ready for the weigh master at the time you arrive at the dock. After the fish are weighed, they will be marked.

    • This is a 2 out of 3 days tournament. Weather and sea conditions will be determined at the discretion of each boat. Anyone wishing not to fish a particular day may do so prior to 8:00AM by calling 302-539-1359 or 717-940-9379 and leaving a message with the boat name and number. If you have not called before 8:00AM, then your boat is considered fishing for that day.

    • Boats are responsible for obeying federal rules and having required permit on board. Please release any fish that will not be weighed or eaten for conservation of the species.

    • In the event of a tie for a first place fish, the first and second place monies will be split. The third place monies will go to the next heaviest fish. In the event of a tie for a second place fish, the second and third place monies will be split. There will be no third place winner. In the event of a tie for third place, the third place monies will be split. If no minimum second or third place marlin are weighed, that money will be split equally amongst that category’s winners. If no marlin is weighed in a category, that money will be split equally amongst the other marlin category’s winners. If no winning marlin (white & blue) are weighed, that money will be split equally amongst the winners of the tuna category. If no winning tuna are weighed, that money will be split equally amongst the winners of the dolphin & wahoo category.

    • Once a fish is hooked up, the rod must be transferred immediately to an angler. From this point on, the angler must fight the fish alone until boated or released.
