i have a few questions for you guys...

i am very new to the whole offshore fishing sport. i grew up flounder/striper style fishing...i have recently purchased a boat that is capable of running farther offshore to chase bigger fish...so here are my questions...i have a few larger reels and rods. so far i have gathered, 2 penn 50tw's 2 penn 50t's to penn 30t's and 2 shimmano 20tld's. i have been to off the hook to grab a bunch of stuff for making my own lures...but what kind of stuff should i start picking up so i can greater my chances of being susccesful next season fishing for some bigger fishys?

When I started a few years back I bought everything in the house, however, the stuff that has lasted through the garage sales:

    1. Green machine/med bird combo
    2. Ilanders, all shapes, colors and sizes
    3. Spreader bars of most colors by Squidnation
    4. Planer rod set-up (it WILL save the day sometimes)
    5. Seawitches, all colors
