I have found that specifics are not told until the tourney is over. Kind of sucks don't it? I guess that we will have to wait.

They are alive and well, I've talked with them a number of times this week and fished with them Monday. A great group of guys and I learned a lot from them. They're raising the billfish, just haven't found the right one yet. There's still one more day of big fishing for the Intruder team. They don't have internet connections where they are docked so unless he finds some other way of connecting, it may be a couple of days before the COMPLEAT details are in. :mittelgr1

Well,
I was trying to figure out how to get messages out but found out that sea gulls suck as carrier pigeons.. Speaking of suck... We were in the running for that crown. 0 for 1 med/small blue on day one off a big lure... Day two gave us two whites to shoot at butbig blue marliin baits and rat whites usually end with straight rods. We did nothing to dispesll that scenario... I sent teh crew to get lubricated for our lay days and they did... The last day we found weeds, gorgeous water, rips, but only one bite from one small billfish. I won't say what specia because I couldn't put a lable on it. Way small with a pointed fin. (Sail?Rat Blue? Spear?).
Bottom line was we batted a zilch on important stuff. Wasn't for lack of trying. Call it hooks by "Good Year" or blame it on me... Same result. I do have to say though our crew was made up of absolutely top shelf guys and cant thank them enough. I'd also like to thank all those great forum members I had the pleasure of meeting while there...
So there is the report you were looking for. I'm sure you are tickled that I failed at taking home the gold but that can be the result of using the hero or zero approach we did. It wasn't a spread designed for small stuff and just plain fish catchin. She was set to target the right one. Unfortunately we just didn't get close enough to that right one for it to raise to it. I could sit here and wallow in self pity but that does no good. All I can do is reload my rigs and get ready for next year...
