Left the dock at about 6 am and headed for some wrecks short of the hudson. Had a few engine problems as soon as we left the inlet and it was already a bad start to the day. We thankfully fixed our problem and where finally off to the edge, or at least close to the edge for now. We got to our spot and started to get fish right away but not the good ones. After a few hours of searching and fishing we where able to put a nice catch of baseball bat ling and some barely legal cod in the box for the table. Now it's time to go and and do some real fishing at the edge. We got to the east wall and started to pick up some mahi at the pots and searched for a spot to set up for the night. In the middle of the night at about 11:30 pm the generator decides to crap out . So with no 110 or lights it was going to be a long night. Thru the night we had a couple of blue sharks and where able to land one 60 lb yellowfin on a chunk. After a long and dark night we started the troll and went 2 for 2 on the troll. One fish was taken on a green machine spreader bar and the other on a jet with a bally. After the troll we decided to end the trip with some tile fishing and landed 6 tiles. So after a long 2 days of fishing we decided to head for the barn with a nice mixed bag of fish for the table.
Total : 8 ling
4 cod
20 mahi
3 yellowfin (40-60 lbs)
6 tiles (10-20 lbs)
waiting for the pics to be sent email
